Cashew Nut Shell Liquid is a product of the cashew industry. The shell of the nut contains a dark reddish brown viscous liquid. It is called the cashew nut shell liquid or cashew nut shell oil, cashew shell oil, cashew shell liquid.

Cashew nut shell oil or CNSL or Cashew Nut Oil or Cashew Shell Oil or CNSL Oil or Cashew nut shell liquid is also a versatile by product of the Cashew Nut. The nut has a shell after cut the nut to collect the white nut inside it containing a dark brown viscous liquid and million Metric ton oil was collect from the cashew nut shell extraction. It is called CASHEW NUT SHELL LIQUID or CNSL. Cashew Nut Shell Liquid that we offer is a pericarp fluid of cashew nut shell. The Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) has consists unsaturated phenolic compounds, anacardic acid (90%) and cardol (10%) with minor amounts of 2-methyl cardol.. Cashew Nut Shell Liquid is widely used in various industries.

Cashew Nut Shell Liquid has innumerable applications in polymer based industries such as friction linings, paints and varnishes, laminating resins, rubber compounding resins, cashew cements, polyurethane based polymers, surfactants, epoxy resins, Oil soluble Resins, Surface Active Agent, Synthetic Rubber & Wax compounding, Foundry Resins and intermediates for chemical industry.
CNSL undergoes all the conventional reactions of phenols, CNSL aldehyde condensation products and CNSL based phenolic Resins are used in applications such as surface coatings, adhesives. Various polyamines synthesised from CNSL are used s curing agents for epoxy resins. CNSL Oil and its derivatives have been used as antioxidants, plasticizers and processing aids for rubber compounds, modifiers for plastic materials and used to provide oxidative resistance sulphur-cured natural rubber products. It is also added to rubber gum stock or nit rile rubber to improve the processability, mechanical properties and resistance to crack and cut properties of the vulcanisates.

A number of products based on CNSL are used as antioxidants, stabilisers and demulsifies for petroleum products. Soluble metal derivatives of C.N.S.L are used to improve the resistance to oxidation and sludge formation of Lubricating oils. Oxidised CNSL and its derivatives are also used as demulsifying agents for water in oil type petroleum emulsions.
